Packing and marking
- Retail
- 2 L food-grade PET bottles, heavy gauge, with shrink-wrapped inner cover and security seal on each bottle.
- Carton
- 12 bottles per carton, equal to 24 litres, in 7-ply or 5-ply paper cartons.
- Bulk
- Flexitank or deep tank for industrial buyers.
- Marking
- Brand, product name, manufacturer, supplier, batch code, net content, manufacture and expiry dates, additive list, and the fortification logo where required by the destination's vitamin-A law.
Notes
- Clear, free from adulterants, sediment, suspended matter, separated water and added coloring or flavouring, of acceptable taste and odour.
- Minimum two-year shelf life from date of manufacture.
- Crop-year certificate, fitness-for-human-consumption certificate and Caesium-137 radioactivity certificate issued where the destination requires them.
Specification is the BDS 1584 schedule as contracted on a government supply tender, against a documentary credit. Fortification to BDS 1769:2014.
